This beauty from Bordeaux is a mix of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cab franc grapes. Plummy and generous on the nose, it’s bursting with red fruit, cassis, and slightly woody aromas. You’ll want to go full-roast dinner....

Crisp and cool, this champion of the Chablis region is characterised by a fresh and fruity palate balanced by the sweet aromas of pear and pink grapefruit. Drink it young and pair it with seafood, sushi or soft cheeses. Pack it in your picnic basket, grab it for gossipy catch-ups with your gaggle, or calmly sit and enjoy a summery sip.

Ruby red with an almost purple hue, this Portuguese red delivers an intense floral aroma (give it a sniff) and a lively taste bursting with ripe red and black fruit. Pair it with meats, cheeses... or dare we suggest a selection of both?

Your maestro of Merlot is at it again with this magnificent drop. Silky and balanced, but full-figured, you’ll notice a hint of fruit preserves and an earthiness that conjures a wooded forest on a misty morning. Food-wise? We reckon you should crack it open with grilled or roasted meats and game, and creamy pastas like carbonara. And whilst it’s perfect for your dinner party, it’s just as good over dinner for one and a movie.

Say it three times fast: “Pick a perfect Pinot”. We did, with this warm, velvety blend from the South of France. Blackcurrants mingle with the spice of liquorice, and the aromas of red fruits and peach perch on a vanilla-coconut backdrop. We think it’s the perfect match for grilled meats and vegetables, and ideally enjoyed on balmy nights around the BBQ (or chilly ones by the fire).

Intense. Complex. Well defined. But enough about us. This Port is more mature than other 20 year olds we know. Packed with vanilla and cinnamon notes, it delights with a decadent dessert or salty starter.

Produced by the traditional port method this premium LBV from the Douro is deep. Deep in its ruby colour. Deep in its aromas of plum and black cherry. Deep in a way that creates a smooth drinking wine perfectly balancing a hint of chocolate and a dash of peppery spice.

Dry and bright as the Mediterranean sun, this is a rosé that doesn’t punch you in the face with bold, brash flavours. Instead, its delicate red berry characters leave you refreshed and wanting more. Don’t forget to put it in the fridge before you head to work so that you can enjoy its cool caress as soon as you’ve clocked off.

A truly savvy selection, this classic from New Zealand’s all-conquering Marlborough region is as breathtakingly beautiful as the landscape that surrounds it. Aromatic and awash with gooseberry, passionfruit and grapefruit, a chilled glass of this Sauvignon will complement light and citrusy flavours, creamy sauces and fresh seafood, along with light-hearted laughs and good company.
